Alright! So, after having high idle and cutting out issues, we decided to look at the TPS to see if it had been tampered with (we've been messing with the idle screw for a while but hadn't looked at the DO NOT TOUCH Throttle Screw yet). Well, just take a look at this self-explanatory picture:

The nut is gone! And there is glue on it instead! So I believe this may be a problem. What can I do about it? Can I just get a nut and put it on there or is it ruined forever? Should I just get a whole new intact throttle body from the pick and pull? Could this be why my car dies randomly in the mornings?

Just saw a pic in the afore mentioned thread which has the throttle nut. Take a look at it and see it the pic helps you visualize what you night need.

So we got the nut we needed from the junkyard and set the screw to be 1/8" down below the plate. The idle seemed to be different for a bit, but then it started to go up and down again on us.

Plugging the IAC still drops the RPMs down to normal, so I think we still have a vacuum leak problem. We started pulling tubes off and found that the EGR valve was completely clogged on one side with carbon buildup, so we're working on cleaning all that stuff out now and replacing all the vacuum lines. Iyiyiyi... I don't know if we'll ever get this thing working. :(
