There are only a few ways to make a car faster. More HP and torque. And less weight. Do your mods to the car. Reduce flywheel weight and put the car on a diet. For the DS car. I even gave up drinking. Have lost about 36 lbs. If you don't put the weight in the Metro, you don't have to accelerate it. I had all the rotating masses on the brakes lightend. Like cutting bevels on the squared edges. Removing all the casting rinds. Same on the flywheel. I had the outside of the rotors trimmed down on a lathe. So that the brake pads actually touch the outside of the rotors. Most pads leave about 3/8" outside that the pads don't touch. Little things like this add up.

Fastest Hampster EVER

Jump over to teamswift.net and ask those guys. They are true tech-heads who worship the higher hp setups.

Not even 20? I would think the higher comp. Ratio would give at least 10-15
You'd get that kind of increase from a 300 hp engine, you might get five hp increase from your 70 hp engine. Still it's enough to make a difference, just not an impressive number to throw around. No matter, HP is near meaningless on the street anyway. What you use in daily driving is torque, what the salesmen use to sell cars and parts is HP.

So what's the deal guys is it worth it? I want a fun geo that surprises people when I press the go pedal. I'm really into that wow factor
If all you want is the "WOW" factor then find a Honda/Toyota/Ford/Chevy/????/ --------Engine/Tranny and do a transplant.

Probably cheaper and easier in the long run...........

I actually thought about putting a 2.3 turbo in it. I may lose 4mpg but I'd gain tons of power.
It's just very hard to do in front wheel drives. I just kinda wanted something that would make people say dang I didn't know geos ran that good.
It's pretty funny how everybody trash talks them without knowing how they perform.

I want to let you guys know I appreciate all the help. You guys understand the whole geo concept more than anybody I've talked to about it. I guess it's a geo thing
