You can measure resistance of the sensor at differant temps and if its not within range, replace the sensor. |

Thanks, I could not wait and replaced sensor... New ones are costly..about $40 so, actually I found 2002 Suzuki esteem in local junkyard and grab its sensor and put in my 96 geo metro...I found O'reilly website that its compatible... I took a test drive...it did go to operating temperature..and gauge stays in the middle like it was before...its runs ok for now..but my original reason to replace this sensor is...to expect better fuel economy..currently car runs fine..no issues but MPG is only about 32...so Johnny suggested me to replace it... But I will also check resistance at different temps..could you please give me range so I can compare? |
