I am in the middle of replacing my water pump. A couple of the crank pulley bolts need replaced. I rounded off the heads a little before I remembered to undo the engine mount and drop the engine a little for easy access to the bolts. Will I be OK just picking up a couple of stainless bolts from the hardware store or are they something I need to order from Rock Auto or the Dealer Ship? Edited by Lincoln, Sep 19 2011, 01:46 PM.

If you have the 5 bolt crank pulley, you may need to get some used ones from the junk yard or new ones at the dealership. The reason is that the 5 bolt pulley bolts have small heads. The ones at the hardware store will have heads that are too large for a socket to tighten them inside the pulley. |
