You used a foot lb torque wrench when it should have been a inch pounder. If you look closely at the book it should make reference to it being in inch pounds.

That should have been 8 ft pounds ( 96 divided by 12 ) and you need a 3/8 torque wrench not 3/4.

I prefer using a inch pound torque wrench because when torquing small numbers with a foot pound wrench it is not as accurate and your torque wrench is hard to hear break at low settings.

Turbo3 and Twincam Tweaker

did you break a stud in either of the outboard end caps or just a bolt from the middle one?

those outboard studs will be hard to replace unless you have a good junk yard close by.

there is a yard close by that has two of them... so not worried about replacing it just how to get it out

i took a couple pix but un sure how to post em here and i got a drill and a eazy out well broke the eazy out ,... so i figure at this point ill try to drill the hole to the right size and depth and re thread it if that dousent work ill go to the next size bigger and drill and thread it for that and use a long bolt with no head and use a nut welded to the right spot for the cap and get a nuther bolt for the top,... not a pretty fix but doable i think eny sugjestions..?
