broke a bolt....; broke a cam bearing cap bolt

worst case;
Take her back to the machine shop.
.They can mount the head in a drill press and precisely drill out the old bolt/pieces and then re-thread or Helicoil as needed.
Not cheap, but less expensive than starting over from scratch with a new head.

Then get an inch/pound torque wrench.
Oh!,

have fun
im trying to avoid wasting the new gasket and head bolts i just bought..and put on.. but i enjoy workin on my lil car too.

Get a left turn drill bit in place of a regular one. It should grab hold and back the broken stud out. Go slow when
doinf this. I have done this before and it worked for me.

if the broken stud was that loose it would not have broken an easy out

ok i finaly fixed my mistake.. but not befor breaking the outher bolt off on the outher side of the cap trying to take it out..i steped back and finished drilling the first hole and tapped it nice and slow.. then drilled the second one out then tapped it.. both holes are fixed and cap is on and valve cover.. it was a pain in the ass but im glad i was able to fix both mistakes.. im soo not use to working on smal cars ill have to remember to go slow..on a dif note.. first and second works good but drive seams to be slipping it hasent realy been driven for a couple years.. would a new trany filter and gasket help..?
