Had another post but I have more info on the problem. When I slowly start up the rpm's it has a flat spot in the transition from the low to higher r's. If I step on hard its hardly noticeable but It does seem to be getting worse. What can cause this? Bad fuel pump, injector, vacuum leaks in hoses, all of the above, and, OR. :hmm Any ideas would be appreciated. The car is a '99 1.0/ 5.

Cam lobes look good; very little wear.No codes and no valve train noise. I'm going to tear into the water pump tomorrow, it has a leak. Who knows I might find something. As you can tell I'm chasing my tail.

two more things vacuum leak(you can use brake parts cleaner) , and check for spark issues ( pull the cap, spray the wires with soapy water, and check for loose connections)

TPS comes to mind, I seem to recall other posts where some members have had their TPS develop a "flat spot". Does your issue always show up in the same range?

Yep, it always happens in the same RPM range. Seems that you might have a lead there. I'll see if I can find some other posts about TPS problems. A much appreciated thanks for the lead.
