Well, ive been looking for some gamecube stuff, ive drove all over town, and the next 2 towns over for gamecube stuff, games, controlers, acessories like the game boy advanced cable and whatnot, but no 1 has them anymore, Anyway. My gamecube system i bought a while back started making this weird grindy scratchy noise, almost like the sound you would hear when your spinning a cd and lightly touch the spinning disk with a paper type of noise, so i thought maybe my gamecube was on its way out... Beings i only have 1 game, and i like this one game, i went to gamestop and bought a refurbished unit...... a nice silver one.... new cables and whatnot came with it, but guess what, its still making the same noise my other one has, is that a gamecube thing? Does anyone even have a gamecube aside from me? Does anybody have any gamecube stuff tehy dont want anymore? lol id pay shipping! lol Anyway, theres my rant/questions. Anyone have any info on anything in my stupid rant here post about it. And yes i know, gamecube is so outdated, but its all i got. |

I have tons of gamecube stuff, but unfortunately I'm keeping it! I even have one of the elusive network adapters and a copy of PSO. Google it if you don't know what thats for. You could even get a keyboard for it. Got one of those too! I bought my gamecube new, and ever once and a while it will make that noise. I think it might be a bearing. No problems though, I'd run with it. Check craigslist. I still see some stuff from time to time. Super cheap. 1.0smallblock, I feel you on that 2600! I hooked mine up for my younger brother the other day. That was HILARIOUS! My favorite quote from him: "is this all it does?" I caught him 20 min later desperately trying to beat Space Invaders! I didn't have the heart to tell him, it never ends.

My sister in laws game cube did that. we greased some of the small pieces that make the disc spin and it started working better, or at least quieter. |

Steved, you really need to upgrade to the PS3. My son never touches his gamecube anymore. He can sit for hours with his multitude of PS3 games and have way more fun that the old gamecube. Too bad he won't part with it, though.

I like the good old game cube. I dont like how everything for it is so plastic. Ive got some anger managment problems and when I'm mad I play games to calm down. Game cube controllers are too weak. I end up making them crack Fun games though

Got an usb adapter for the controller, hook it up to the pc. Download an emulator and roms for the gamecube. Hook the pc up to your main tv. Bam, free gamecube. |
