this has been asked before i know it. i tried to search, but the search just fails for me. do i use the timing mark with the raised circle on the sprocket or the mark without that raised circle? |

I would say the bottom mark because the locating bump on the cam should always be opposite side of the timing mark that you have up. Ken.... |

Turn the cam gear until the distributor rotor is pointing straight up. Now look at the cam gear. Whichever slot is pointing up is the one you use.
