Whats up guys. Im new to the geo Metro world so I figured what better place to get advice on them then here. I've got a 95 LSI, 3 CYL, 5SPD hatch. Its my winter dd for now to keep my California Special GT out of the weather. But I would really like to restore this metro and use it year round, not sure its worth it though. I bough it cheap and realized it has been rebuilt. Its not super rough but its no where close to being clean either. My first step in deciding what to do with it is having someone check it out for me and make sure its straight and "fairly" rust free in all the important parts. If this one isn't worth it I will get a cleaner one. So if anyone is close and wouldn't care checking it out let me know. Thanks guys. I hope to learn a lot about these little cars here.

Thanks fellas, I will try and get some pics up tomorrow. I haven't had a chance to read over the forum rules yet. So I will get that done and then post pics in the correct area.

The -> Forum Rules <- are a nice simple affair, maybe 3 seconds reading :)

After that, you'll want to hit the -> How to post images <- thread for sure and catch us up on your ride :popcorn

An account with Photobucket is your friend. Flickr is good, but I will throw my weight behind Photobucket. Also when you do get an account, make sure you put your pics in a subfolder. That way you can start several subfolders and won't have to worry about your photos being lost on GMF if you move them from the original folder to the subfolder after you have posted the original folder pictures on GMF.

Welcome aboard! First diagnostic step is to get a compression check. That will tell volumes about the overall engine health. Looking forward to the pics!

Thanks Bent LOL, I'm a member of S197forum so I am use to VERY sarcastic corrections. I would actually think I wasnt liked if thats not how I was corrected HAHAHAHA

OK guys I am having a terrible time uploading pics. but the car is very rusty (to me) underneath and I am almost certain that its not worth having it fixed. If anyone is interested in seeing the pictures and giving their opinion I can e-mail them to you. As of now I believe I will be looking for another one in a lot better shape soon. Thanks guys

For loading pics... we actually only link to the Photobucket, ImageShack, tinypic or whatever picture/video sharing site you wish. Photo-storing forums cost $$$.* So check out Posting Images for Dummies :) for details on how to link the pic URL using the Images button when posting. *Same goes for sites that send you and email when someone responds to your thread. :-/ Click on Full BBCode List for giggles. :whistle

For any statements along the lines of "not worth fixing" I refer you to Frame Rust Repair, Little Red With Heart and A-Arm Horn Repair.

Not that "looking for another one in a lot better shape" is not a good idea, it's just that we have male and female members who hare resurrected rotting frame horns, floor pans, rear structural damage, and all sorts of engine, transmission and electrical damage. :thumb
