Hey Bogs, lets trade the power steering for keyless entry with remote start. What do you think?
I would trade everything listed here for a door that doesn't make me feel like a parade balloon deflating when I get into the car :lol

Funny someone mentioned front bench seats, I'm working on converting mine to that :thumb

It would be great if you could get it as nice as one from the 70s cars. Any midsize or larger car with a bench seat back that was nice. Idk why so many people dislike them....

how about a better antenna. Holy crap mine sucks. Maybe its just a connection though.

and yes a cup holder would be great. A taller center console could do the trick of cup holder.

Fastest Hampster EVER

Leather heated seats.

A 1.0 3cyl diesel engine.

Six speed tranny.

Drop down rocker panels for easier egress.

Full cluster display with vacuum gauge, real temp gauge, and a boss MPG gauge inside of the cluster.

Put all this stuff in a Metro and it ceases to be a Metro...it's now a REALLY, REALLY slow Cadillac.

Please just call me; "Schultz"

Just adding sound deadening material to mine, increased the "LUX" factor enough to make my wife 'enjoy' driving her.
And if you put it in the doors, it increases the weight of the door and get rid of that "!!TINGGGG!!" every time you close them. but brings a new issue to the forefront. Hinges. I will now need to rebuild me some tougher hinges to carry the weight of the door. Mine are sagging after less than a year with the extra weight of the sound proofing.

ok, just the best upgrade to any metro if you life in a cold weather area, remote car starters :D they cycle depending on the settings you have engaged, they range from flickering lights, to window wipers :D if you set your heat and defroster on they should be thawed by the time you get outside, the car automaticly shuts off after 5-15 mins, depending on how you have it set, i got it set at 8 mins. Adn hell for the price of the units who wouldnt want one, cheapest you can buy brand new from autozone is 64 bucks :D

Heaven forbid you have to wipe 1/32" of an inch of snow off your car.

hmmm maybe yours is different but I idled my metro for over 30 minutes once before I "gave up" the temp gauge never budged from dead cold.

the engine just could not generate and or KEEP enough btu's faster than the environment could sap them away.

gonna try sealing up the engine bay a little this winter if time allows.
