I don't know where you heard ours was MIT1 but that's not entirely correct. Yes, a MIT1 will work its not the only style that will work. Here is a full list of keys that should be compatible. Alba EX22C Axxess 51 Börkey 1433 Börkey 1509 Börkey 1537 Briggs 321836 Briggs 322079 Briggs GMA Briggs GST CEA GEM19 CEA MT7S Cole National B65 Cole National MIT1 Curtis B-65 Curtis B-70 Curtis MT-1 Curtis SU-15 Errebi IS44 Errebi MIT7 Errebi SZ11 ESP B65 ESP MIT1 HD MT7S HD SZ12 Hillman B70 Ilco B65 Ilco MIT1 Ilco SUZ15 Ilco X176 Ilco X184 Ilco X185 Jet B65 Jet MIT1 JMA GM-4 JMA GM-5 JMA MIT-7 JMA MIT-12 JMA SUZU-10 JMA TOYO-20 Lotus GM18 Lotus MTI16 Lotus SZ24 Orion GM9 Orion MS8 Orion SU22 RR MHI15 Silca GM19 Silca MIT8 Silca SZ12 Star MI1 Star MI1-NP Taylor X176 Taylor X184 Taylor X185 And, if you have or want a key with a plastic head use these part numbers. Börkey 1361½ PS36 Börkey 1433 PS39 Börkey 1509 PS68 Börkey 1537 PS57 CEA GEM19P CEA MT7SP CEA MT7SP1 CEA SK12P Curtis B-65PH Curtis MT-1PH Errebi MIT7P Errebi MIT7P36 Errebi MIT7P77 Errebi SZ11P Errebi SZ11P51 HD MIT8P HD SZ12P Ilco B65P Ilco MIT1P Ilco MIT1-PC Ilco SUZ15P Jet MIT1-PH JMA GM-4P1 JMA GM-5.P JMA MIT-7.P JMA SUZU-10.P Lotus GM18P Lotus MTI16AP Lotus MTI16P Lotus SZ24P Lotus YL194P Orion GM9P Orion MS8AP Orion MS8CP Orion MS8P Orion SU22P RR PMHI15 Silca CY17P Silca GM19P Silca MIT8AP Silca MIT8P Silca MIT8PL Silca SZ12P Star MIT1/P So if its a Silica brand key, a MIT8 should work just fine. |

I am going to see if they will let me buy a sample of 1 or 2 to see if it fits. if yes is there any interest in maybe a group buy (just noticed they require you to order $200 worth !!! ouch. only $1 a pop though :-) I could probably put up $40 or $50 worth. |

It should, I have a MIT8 key from a Mitsubishi Galant (looks just like the ones on the site) I can go outside and see if it fits the lock or not |

The later model metros use a different style: axxess+ 31R, the older metros use the axxess+ 51R (R denotes plastic body), I'd be in for $20 worth of blanks. PM me when/if you get to ordering. These keys will also fit matching year geo's and suzuki's including tracker/sidekick and swifts. Edited by mcmancuso, Dec 5 2011, 01:26 AM.

If you look at my list, the axxess+51 is there. The list I have is for compatible keys to my current key for my 95 Metro (ilco X184 B65) I had 3 keys to this car when I bought it, and they where all ilco X184 B65. BTW, nerys an MIT8 will fit. I just checked if my Mitsubishi key would fit the Geo lock, and it does. |

If I really needed custom keys for my vehicles, I'd probably just make them on CNC... Hmmm... that might be the best idea I've had all day... |

that is $100. pretty close. I am going to see if I can get a response from someone about placing an order. it does help fuel economy. mine personally. I carry my keys around my neck the lighter keys are really nice :-) hehe :-) ----------------- well scratch that idea. Looks like they raised the minimum to 200 keys $195. no way we are going to get such an order together :-( Edited by nerys, Jan 27 2012, 12:45 AM.

as long as the wards machined into the sides of the key allow it to enter the car and the bitting goes up high enough to engage the highest wafer in the ignition lock the key can be machined to work with the car. |
