Among many others, I have a 1981 DeLorean
I'm jealous in a really strange way.... lol
Pics are here if anyones interested-http://foundourownroad.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=111
And come on... 88? No, it will do 125 if you give it enough time. It has almost 3X the power of the Metro and similar weight ;)
You obvously missed the reference, because ....

Strange that a guy with a DeLorean wouldn't get the 88mph reference...

Ah, but can you reach 88 mph and does the Flux Capacitor kick in, that is the question :type
Its a delorean. Of course it can't reach 88 mph....

:p
The question is not what happens at 88 mph. We all know what should/does happen.

The question is does it have the stock engine, or the Volvo engine that the BTTF people put in the screen cars when they made the sequels?

(In the commentaries for the BTTF Part 3 DVD, they mentioned that during the scene at the drive-in movie theater.)

I currently am on the hunt for another 95+ Metro, but in the meantime I have 3 cars.

2003 Dodge Ram 1500 quad-cab shortbed with the 4.7L V8 Magnum
1987 Toyota Supra with a 1JZ-GTE engine and single turbo (currently suffering from a broken trans)
1987 Honda Prelude 1.8L (soon to be sold and replaced with a Metro)

Delorean was 2,700 lbs and came stock with a Volvo V6 rated at 130 HP. So, a little more than 1.5 times the weight with a little more than twice the power. That explains why everyone who drove one wanted more power. Power to weight ratio a little bit better than a Metro.

I think I goofed up. I think the BTTF commentary mentioned that they put Porsche engines in the cars they used in the sequels...

Hmm well currently I drive a 2011 Chevy Cruze as my daily driver

Posted Image

My last daily driver was a 2005 Chevy Aveo, I still got it, I am going to give it to my Fiance when she gets her licence.

(My pedal powered ride is pictured on the back of the Aveo)

Then my true love which I no longer have, a 1991 Jeep Cherokee 2Dr Sport - I absolutly drove it into the ground and had to scrap it in a pinch cause I had nowhere to keep it :(
