So i removed the tps from underneath the throttle body just to see what the inside looked like. (FINE) It took me a few minutes to put the piece back on and tighten the screws. I took it for a spin and now i have a real high idle then it drops, up and down up and down. Even in gear it takes off.

I realize it's the tps, but how did this happen? I pulled it off and put it back on. Connected the wiring harness, and good to go right?
Well no because it's not properly functioning. Does the vehicle have to drive a while before it corrects itself? Or did i possibly turn foul something up when i removed the tps? :hmm

Just to check, I'd mark its position first before I removed it. Then I read that when installing it you rotate it CCW so the prong/tab that sticks out goes in to the left of the TB lever/motion arm. Basically the full rotation of the slot in the TPS, maybe 30 deg?
Then twist the TPS CW back to the original mark. Meaning it is possible to install the TPS with the prong/tab in a position so that when the throttle is twisted it will not rotate the TPS. The TPS being a solenoid of sorts.
Can't plug the connection on wrong but the seal of the TPS may be leaking?

But it sounds to me like a vacuum leak as in a hose was accidentally knocked off or broken. MAP?

PS, Thanks for the comment on the TB pic in the other thread. :)

Translation: So there was this 500 lb Lion sleeping and I decided to poke it with a sharp stick just to see if it was REALLY asleep. Suddenly I realized, maybe it was not such a good idea. How do I make this seemingly VERY unhappy lion go back to sleep. Please help me GMF. :'(

Just jazzing ya. I have done the same numerous times. :rofl
