Ok so its been a while since I perused the forum here or made a comment, but I acquired a new to me cluster with tach for my Metro. I gave a real basic run down on how to do it. It was fairly simple. I also used this site, my FSM, and Nerys' mylittlemouse.com site for reference. The tach works just fine showed me a few things. I think some of my vac lines are bad when I first started it, it idles low then goes up and levels at 1050 approx rpm. I thought at first I had to adjust the idle but I dont think thats it. I have it at 8degree timing btw. Either way enjoy the vid guys! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLhBwzL-TFA Also did some 0-60s Edited by hanksgeo, Dec 10 2011, 09:44 PM.

Yea its been boggling me as to why its doing that. It did that before the rebuild too. As for the radio. It was 40bucks at autozone, it has an Aux port that I hook my ipod or phone to and it works just fine. Lets be honest, these cars are incredibly easy to break in too. I had a Sony in my ranger that someone stole from it, right outta the driveway. And I am living in a good part of town. I can live with out a nice radio. Yea one of my subs on youtube was very adamant about me doing them. HAHA. I knew it was gonna be a dog, but it was fun for what it was. What do you think may be causing the pulsing? |

sounds like a vac leak, mine pulsed pretty bad when there was a leak between the t/b and the manifold. mine still has a slight vac leak and its enough to make it cut out at very low rpm driving. and pulls too much vac when you hit the brakes sometimes and stalls it. |
