Hi, I'm rebuilding my G13 engine 1.3 - 16V , I cleaned all the parts, block, and everything , I only need to clean the Crankshaft to remove all the carbon deposits, I'm afraid to put degreaser ( purple power) on it and water. The water will rust the crankshaft Journals ? What is the best way to clean it and make it come back to metal ? Thank You.

You ask for the best way so that is what I am going to give you. Take it to a machine shop and let them vat it and polish it for you. |

Best: Vat\Polish as enginedoctorgeo says Good: Carb cleaner and pad Bad: Forgetting to blow the oil holes out when you're done |
