I thought it was pretty neat. a low cost project that was fun.. They sent that plane up almost 90,000 feet and retrieved it. Very cool construction making the plane from paper straws. I enjoy that type of t stuff. Would be a great project to do with your children or grand kids. Maybe just releasing one from a kite would be fun. :banana :banana :banana

and if the balloon pops sending your camera and gps crashing into the ground.. Might want to get a cheap POS cam and gps first just in case ;)

When i was watching the video, i wasted my time i guess waiting for the video of the planes images... never happened.. lol They definitely should have put a small video recorder on there.

Fastest Hampster EVER

Could that be done with a metro? Our cars are light enough, right?

IIRC the average weather ballon can lift 8 pounds ?? so you would just need some 225 weather balloons and the helium to fill them :-) hehe

I really wish they would try that one again. I mean IT WORKED. the thing was arrow on rails stable. even the arch and crash were shockingly stable. it might actually have worked if they had sepped the main tank.
