About 12 years ago the some one got the idea we should hang a star from a crane at Christmas. The boss said it was a good idea so we built one. This is what we came up with. It is about 12 foot high maybe 6 foot across. I forgot the exact amount of bulbs but they are c7s, about 600 or so. It was hard to get a good shot of it but it can be seen for a mile or so on a clear night. Sorry my night picture taking aint too good. Posted Image :banana :banana :banana

As always, you made me smile. :)
How neat that you did such a great job, that it's going strong a dozen years later. :thumb
Thanks for sharing.

That's awesome. Hey, I heard it got down into the high twenties (or damn near) there in parts of Florida. How are you liking actually getting a little winter?

I am in Pensacola. It gets pretty cold at time..It goes into then teens a couple times a year. I know it is not much for others but fore us it is cold. The star was a work of a bunch of us. It is made of re-bar that was left over from a pour. We used to have to replace quite a few bulbs every year. But people around here always look for it. Maybe I will get a daylight picture of it tomorrow. It will come down soon. Posted Image :banana :banana :banana
