MY Geo has DRLs how do I put HIDs in it without disabling the DRLs? I want the absolute brightest darkness piercing damn lights I can get

The resistor box is under the dash above the gas pedal. Pull one wire and tape it back into the harness so it doesnt short out. I dont remember what wire to pull. if I remember to ill check my 96 when I get home. Edited by vr4, Jan 6 2012, 11:49 PM.

vr4, he wants to keep his DRLs, you're telling him how to disable. Don't think you can have HIDs with DRLs unless you rig up two separate lights. Don't know much about HIDs and I disable DRLs the second any new car hits my driveway, so I'm probably not the best guy for this topic. The stock Metro lights are far better than anything that any car had back in the 60's. If you polish the hazy plastic, run a direct 12V feed and relay system from the battery to the lights, and put in some 80/100 bulbs, you'll have killer lights for 1/10th the cost of HIDs and none of the headaches. |
