I'm still not sure. I would watch it for a few days and not see a single drop of oil. Then on the third day everything would be soaked. I'm assuming the pressure was causing it to come from both seals (cam and crank) and that it has been stopped now. I guess time will tell. I have both seals sitting new in the box just in case the leak comes back.

Rmc so you are thinking that clogged hose caused the cam seal to pop out?....that doesnt sound right or my seal would have blown out a long time ago and probably on,many other metros. That moisture oil mix isnt solid...just foamy crap. Also does that hose suck air into the engine or blow it out into the air cleaner?

Mine blew out before rebuild because I had a number one cylinder compression ring broke in two places. Pressurized the oil pan really good.

I don't know. Just going through steps to fix the problem in my own lazy way. I called my father the other day and it took him about 5 seconds to come up with the "your PCV is plugged" solution so I took care of that part of the system. If it doesn't leak again then that must have been it.

The PCV only allows (if it is working) air to come out of the engine (valve/cam cover).

Actually, I never thought it caused it to pop out. I only thought it caused it to leak intermittently. I don't know what all was plugged but I know everything is free now.
