I started with a 50 lb solenoid, cable, pulley, 75 lb door popper, welder and patients.

I removed the door panel ...

Lifted the door off the car with a engine lift ... and mounted the solenoid horizontal on the bottom of the door.

I wired the solenoid to a relay directly to my battery with a 40 amp fuse. I installed a secret remote switch to open the door.

This is my home made wire connector 'to-be'

These show the spring loaded poppers in the door jam.

I still need to put the trim back on the door.

In all, the door closes without much effort. It opens without an troubles. Investment: $40 for the solenoid. $30 for the door popper. $30 misc ...

I hope the pictures are displayed properly.

Very nice setup! :drool I want to put this on my car, too easy to break the stock door handles. I was wondering since the install, have you had any problems with it? When finished want to blank out the outside handle for the smooth look. My only issue might be in winter because its kept outside. Some mornings, doors are hard to open because ice along the door gaskets, any idea if a door popper will be able to handle that? :hmm

where did you buy patience and how much did it cost? I would like to purchase some. I like it. Now to get it to auto close as well.. hands free! very nicely done.

For some strange reason, this thread is showing up on the forum topic board saying that the last message for it was posted today, at 12:15, but when I went into the thread, it says that the last posted message to it was back on Jun 3 of 2013. Very strange. :hmm

Anyone else's computer show this, or am I crazy?

I had that happening quite a bit a number of months ago and now it has started again. Random threads from long ago showing up in the active filter for no apparent reason.

No, never seen that. Have you been neglecting the meds again?
