A lot of that particular Metros value would be depend on the persons location who is viewing it. I can tell you anyone in the rust belt looking at it wouldn't hesitate a long time to drop $2500 on it (if the horns are clean as the rest of the car), someone from a rust free state that sees clean Metros all day long might not be so ready to. There are other factors of course, and the compression test suggested is definitely a good idea. Test driving it and finding out the general condition of the transmission isn't a bad idea either, for that price it should definitely be in very very good condition, not just 'clean'. |

Because u can rebuild a crappy one and have spent that much total. If u feel like paying 1000 just because it looks nice ur welcome to but I wouldn't. I got mine for 700 and spent 900ish fixing it. I pages a lot too much for it too. |

That's a nice ride .. if you can afford $2500 go for it. For me personally .. for my commuter car .. once I break the $2000 mark I start looking for luxury's .. (AC,Power Windows, Quieter Ride, Faster) Not sure what old Civic's or Corolla's are going for in your area or if your just in love with Metro's. |

I agree with you there. I only spent 650 on mine. But is your time not worth anything?.....or do you just have more time than money? Lol |

I paid 600 for mine. Drove it 25000 trouble free miles. Then spent 300 on a rebuild and have driven about 10k more. I think a good running metro is worth 1000 to 1500 no matter how ugly. |

I see a super clean body with nice paint and interior(looks like the carpet is still nice!). Everything is there and has been taken care of. To me this make this car worth a lot. Any mechanical work on these cars is so cheap and easy that I would not be to picky about it. I might be crazy but I would still pay $2500 for a car this nice with major engine or tranny problems. Might have to drive it for a bit longer than the $500 cars but remember it will STILL pay for it's self and you will have a super nice ride to cruise in. I spend more time in my Metro than anything so I want it to be as nice as possible! |
