I was looking at a kit to make a mason jar a container for sucking out fluids in my old tools. It occured to me I could take a metal 40 gallon trash can we have and make 2 holes in the lid. One for a dryer vent hose, the other where I would attach the bottom of my leaf blower where it socks in air. I should put a piece of foam or grate or something to keep stuff from getting sucked through the leaf blower. Anyone ever follow through with this? |

I have something like that. Used it to remove liquid from my laundry room when the washer puked up. Usually use it to remove debris. I think it's called a Shop Vac. Got it for $20 on Craigslist used. It has a filter inside it. |

My Dad has a leaf blower that converts and has a bag attachment for sucking up leaves....seems like it should work the same for what you are talking about doing. |

Shop Vac? I wonder how much cement a 5 door geo hatch back can hold? Thx Eric. I thought it was fairly easy to rig something up like that. II used a leaf blower to blow them up against hte fence. Then raked them into a 40 gallon can and went between bagging half of it and tossing the others over he fence. Our fence is 3 ft inside the property line, so its on our land still. |

Heheh! Sad thing is, I'd get the same utility out of said 5 door geo hatch back, that I've had the past year! |
