I put myself on their reservation list with the comment "Please don't bring on Big Motor execs to run the company to the ground like they did at Corbin and Aptera. Just roll with production. Don't keep making refienements, or you'll go out of business before a single vehicle is build - just like Corbin and Aptera"

Ooops! To late! They might already be out of business.

Looks like they never got off the ground!

Found a blurb that they went out of business in 2010, but they have Jay Leno demonstration with an old Carver in 2011 and their prototype was non-functional!!!

There's no hope for anything new!

It's all going to be Big Motor cranking out crappy cars!

------------

OK, I've found the Persu forum.

Venture One went bankrupt and the folks who founded it re-organized and created Persu Mobility Inc. and acquired all the assets.

Persu Mobility went belly up and the CEO formed a new group to get new money and acquire the assets to what is now called Persu Venures. They brought on someone else to get $140 Million in start-up capital.

Folks! We're in the wrong business!

We need to make a foam mockup of a high mpg car and form a company around it!

What say we take a Geo Metro, cut it in half and attach a single wheel electric pusher motor to the back end thus making a reverse trike. Remove the outside panels and hood foam and fiberglass a new teardrop design and voila! A new car!

Bring it on the Today Show and crow about 60 mpg!

BillHoo, the "anti-submarine" seating is probably a reference to a 5 point seat belt arrangement ; 2 lap, 2 shoulder and 1 crotch belt (it travels from it's floor mount up between your legs and attaches to the center release latch of the harness assembly) . The crotch belt keeps you from sliding out under the other belts in a collision that would cause you to be flung forward, thus the "anti-submarine" name. Just pray that in that scenario one of "the twins" aren't in the way! :O

Great. Now we have to wear a cup in order to get 60 MPG. No thanks, I'll keep my metro and wear the lap belt ankle keep "the guys" free.
