I've got a problem, a Mighty one; it's an addiction, really

I've got an obsession with cars that have been turned into pickups, the smaller the better, but this also extends to SUV's, like a bronco halfcab, or tracker pickups.

I've test driven a VW Bug pickup, and I only talked myself out of it because the clutch was very sensitive.

I wish we had more Utes in this country.

This forum thread is like porn for me, I get real close to the monitor, and gaze with my mouth open.

If I ever get the wherewithal I will turn a Metro into a little truck too, but only because I can't have a Suzuki Mightyboy (which some people have put G10's in.)

If you tear up a metro like that, will you atleast do it to one with a shitty body and frame rust? Dont have many nice ones left

I don't think I could bring myself to do it unless there had been some rear ending done.

This is very cool. 928 is one of the most beautiful cars already.

iiiiit's back...

Found a topic on Teamswift from a year ago about a Canadian selling a Mighty Boy, and I decided to dig a little bit.

Found a company in Japan that exports cars to, among other places, Canada. Once it was registered in Canada, it would make it a bit easy to get it across the border, especially since it's greater than 21 years old.

Then I'd want to figure out a way to make it LHD and be in the same/opposite boat as 94RHDRollerskate

How far will I go to accomplish this?

Doing some more internet spelunking. Might be easier, and more feasible for what I would want to put a G10 in a Mighty Boy and convert it to LHD and then register it as a project car....

This guy already has it mostly done:

Yeah, but have you seen how big that bed is? The bigger the pickup, the more someone will ask you to help them move!

I've been looking at a lot of Brats, but I still think the Mighty Boy is my favourite factory production ute.

Dodge made the Rampage, back in the 80s, It was half pick-up, half omni front wheel drive car, and the omni also came with a turbo model that could put down some very impressive low E.Ts @ the dragstrip, I saw one with stock wheels and Quiet exhaust run consistent mid 12s with a plus sized driver. Put that powerplant into a rampage and you'll have tiny and potent! No one'll know till they only see your taillights!
