Some Jr. High School (middle school) Spanish. Wasn't required in high school. Took a refresher course in Jr. College. Ex wife taught ESL in Guatemala. Her Spanish was as good as if not better than her English. I didn't grow up paranoid thinking that someone speaking another language was talking about me. Actually a good portion of of America's southern, western and other cities are Spanish or "foreign language" names. And unless our ancestors were actually born on the continent prior to British, French, German, Norse, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, colonization of north America then we can only go by the claim "Our forefathers were kicked out of every decent country in the world." - Stripes. Regardless, I've come to believe that globally we need a universal language taught in addition to whatever native language one speaks. Be that English or whatever, everyone would be able to communicate in a universal language. |

You're young yet, with more experience you'll learn to despise the French as all thinking people do. |
