yeah, don't overfill any gear box. you can develop pressures that can force a seal to leak. if the transmission was vented to atmosphere (which it isn't) it would just blow excess oil out of the vent. the transmission is designed so that the shafts and gears throw oil up into the case which has drip galleys built in. those drip galleys direct oil to the proper spots to lubricate the parts. if you overfill the gear box it affects how the splash oiling works. it also impacts the operation of the synchronizers. |

Ok thanks for all the help pulled the full plug and drained the excess oil it was actually very little that came out |
