If you were a millionaire...; would you still drive your Geo Metro?

Get Phoenix fixed up as much as possible, and get a truck. Nothing major, but it'd have 4x4 for sure. Then invest the leftovers (and there would be an awful lot of leftovers) and do... well, whatever I wanted to, with the trickle-in money, from the investments.
I wonder how much money you'd need to be able to start producing new Metros?
Flood the place with made-to-order Geos! Like they're doing with DeLoreans! That'd be awesome...

They're doing that with DeLoreans because there was a huge warehouse of factory parts found down in Texas, I believe. If there was a warehouse of metro parts somewhere, I'm sure we would have already sniffed it out.

I'd buy a K-car. A nice reliant automobile.

Truthfully, I would fix up/pimp out my Geo, but would probably park it and save it until I became poor again after they repo my Jeep ;)

I'd definitely make a few GeoPaloozas to visit with my friends :banana

Live Long and Prosper.

If I had millions of dollars, I wouldn't care what kind of car my Chauffeur drove.

lol really? you mean the late 80s/early 90s chryslers? yea I would buy some of those and have a demo in my back yard, then burn them, then run them over with some excavating equipment.

I too could drive what I want , not that I am rich , but I do what I want. When I was young I drove a Saab Sonnett. Great, fun car for a young guy. Two seat sport car with a V4. Yes, a V4.

We are all unique in our ultimate formula for what we would 'ultimately' drive. I am lucky, the Ge is it for me. I no longer crave speed or power . Really , a person can exist with no desire for these things, I know it sounds un-American.

Once you loose these desires you are free to think about economy, ease of working on, availability of parts and community. I'll bet your surprised to hear the last one being brought up on the subject of cars. Go to your hot rod Forum , go to your SpeedracerXXXX whatever the hell else there is and I challenge you to find a COMMUNITY of people as kind, generous, humorous, and helpfull as the Geo Metor people. I've only been here a short time but I'm very impressed.

First , with Johnny's web site and what he has built and then with the recent meet-up we had here in the NW. What a great bunch of people and what a fine spirit of commraderie. Try finding THAT with your BMW club or whatever.

I respect that others have interests other than mine, but that too seems to be built into the common love of the Metro.

Yep, its Metro for me. Great question, thanks for asking.
I like this guy no longer crave horsepower or speed. Why would I pay big bucks to risk my and others safety and pollute the environment? I like being able to take apart and fix these noble steeds and share stories and facts with like minded folk. Plus one and a big thumbs up to your thread!

Grr

oh just for the hell of it I would go up to canada and buy a diesel 6 speed smart four two.

I would put that engine and tranny (3cyl diesel) into my metro and probably get 80+mpg without trying very hard.
