I have often pondered the possible causes of the cronic burnt exh valve problems seen with the g10. I have seen the greatest number in the #3 cyl. The cyl that has the egr port, just down stream of the valve. I have questioned a few guys who work at shops that build hi end engines and two professional diesel mech's, all agree that, that egr valve is contributing to the valves going. Theyre thought is that there is a bad flow being caused by the port location. |

So, my 4 banger, with a mere 93k on it now, that rarely ever sees 3k, should never have a burnt valve? Or a better question I guess is, what is the cut off? 2500? 2k ? 1500? ![]() |
