Swaping heads. Old head has two sleves that bolts run through. New one does not. I belive they are for lineing up head. What is the best way to remove them? Thanks. |

They are indeed alignment pins and your new head will need them for optimal performance. I've removed them by covering them with a rag, lightly latching onto them with vise grips and wiggling them out. If you do scar them up you can clean them up with emory cloth prior to installation. Good Luck! |

I use a skinny pin punch and tap them out from the top. This way they don't get marred up and stay round. Ken..... |
