I have a 99 metro with 1.3 in it. When I start it in the morning, or anytime after it's been sitting for a while it blows a cloud of blue smoke. I was told I may need to replace the valve seals. Any ideas? Is this hard to do if it is the case? |

If you can live with the smoke, it won't hurt much of anything to leave it alone... |

It doesn't bother me and the car runs great. Just wanted to make sure it was ok. |

IIRC, it won't do your catalytic converter any good. ie shorten it's life. You'd be looking at a head job. Fairly easy. Here is a 1.0 rebuild guide. LINK |
