At 141,000 have you done a compression test? How to compression test. That will tell the truth on the engines health. But may lead to spending more money. :smackface

How about a timing belt and tensioner? If the current belt is old and stretched a new one will add some pep.
engine purrs like a kitten and also have new belt(forgot about those) i just cant find anything unique i guess u cld say that fits my 93 4 dr geo. tp increase power or at least make it look better i want to find a custom steering wheel but havent been able to or maybe find a cd player that fits no luck finding that either...

Jeard these cars are fine. I rarely do any maintenance on it. Just keep oil and coolant/water in it and you will be fine (aside from frame rot)

Never asked to sell it...probly cuz i live in a college town and most kids my age are only worried about looks. They would rather be broke with a nice car, than have money in their pocket while cruising in an economy car.

I have been asked several times. One time the mechanic putting tires on it wanted it. The people on my block always ask, because they see I have two of them. They get frustrated when I say no, because, "You can only drive one at a time."

Funny thing is after buying the geo it doesn't even bother me when gas goes up.
I only look at the gallons pumped when driving my geo, so I can calculate the mileage. Cost doesn't matter when it's only like 8 gallons. haha

I have been asked one time, and it was from another metro owner looking for one with a better body. Caught me off guard, but it doesn't surprise me. They are great cars made in a time before they would be appreciated.

I take that back, I WAS asked by a coworker last year if I wanted to sell my red geo. She was driving this pink chevy truck of some sort and was complaining about the gas mileage. I told her it wasn't for sale, and she backed off once she figured out it was stick as well.

A Guy down the street always comes over when I get a new metro. He implies that when I get the new metro up and running he will be purchasing my DD. Somehow my wife doesn't think my neighbor has all his marbles. Too bad he won't be able to pay the price my wife wants.

Happens all the time...usually around the time gas creeps up around $4.00 a gallon. Always seems to be a well-heeled fellow in some big, $40,000, late-model, 4wd/TRD/Off-Road/Z-71/NISMO type truck.

Tempted to hang a sign on the back of it..."No, it's NOT for sale. Have fun at the pump."

Lol...when gas is $3 a gallon, my car costs about $25 to fill up. When it is $5 a gallon, it costs just under $40. I ain't gonna cry over $15 a week!!

record it! put a small camera in your car in a hidden area, let it record when they do their testing, see what they have to say about it XD, i did that when i sent my metro to the garage and needless to say i never brought it back either.

NOBODY has ever asked to buy my metro. Nobody even approaches me to talk about it. Might just be a California thing (ignoring people and not making eye contact)

edit: maybe I look unapproachable.
