Did you cover your distributor and unplug it from the starter before you washed it? If not, you might need a new cap and rotor. While you're at it, replace the air filter and make sure your fuel injector is spraying evenly.

I would say moisture in the distributor cap also.

Welcome to your new forum, elloco! :coffee

Sounds like it flooded. It may freeze over night but 55-60 deg. temps should dry it out along with the warmth of the engine.

So can you pull the wires off one at a time and see if there is water in the caps? Take a small socket wrench and loosen the two small screws holding the distributor cap down and remove the cap with the wires attached, and look inside to see if there is water. It is best to blow the cap out with compressed air but I have used a paper towel and my lungs. Tighten it gently but firmly so you do not crack the cap.

Please let us know as much as you can about the history of work done to the car and what you feel comfortable doing to the car yourself. There are a lot of How To guides on the forum that you can find using Google Advanced Search and typing geometroforum.com in the forums (URL) to search.
