Just wanted to say hello, this is my first post on any forum of any kind so this is all new to me and if I make mistakes sorry,I have a 99 swift and recently bought a 98 metro 1.0 in not running condition, first it was to be used in a demolition derby but the timming belt tensioner fell apart and it jumped time and died before the owner stripped the interior and took the glass out, then it was put on a trailor going to be scrapped when I found it stopped him and gave $50 more than he thought he would get at the crusher.I thought this would be a good restore as a father son project since it has 0 rust anywhere.I'm rebuilding the head now and hope to have it back on in a week or two and then have it painted.If/when i can figure out how to post pictures I will be putting up the before, during, and after photos. |

Welcome to your new forum, duck98! Forums are scary, eh. Your introduction is in Introductions The forum will not send you an email when someone responds to you. Best bet is to bookmark the log-in page and any pages you want to revisit like your posts. I have bookmarks in folders on my Firefox browser. This link may help: Navigationg the Forum That said, you will have to come back and visit the forum regularly. Some of us live here. This link may help in posting pictures: Posting Images So it may be a new experience getting a FREE photo hosting account on Photobucket, tinypic or ImageShack. It was for me and now I have two.

nice save, i have saved 3 myself. my first metro i got when i was 13 for free because it didn't run so i made effort to fix it. then my father stepped in and we got it running and cleand up so great. second metro i saved was a blue 4 door when i was 17 it was being used by animals as a house. it was so nasty. 3rd metro i got was being used as a storage shed and i saw it many times never moved. they said it didnt run so i figured it out and it was the wire to the clutch thing idk some safty thing so you cant start it if the clutch was not pushed in. well i hooked it up and well whata ya know it runs....pretty ok... :p like to hear good junk to treasure stories. wata reuse. |
