:banghead Have Fun Paying For It And Stopping At Every Gas Station And Paying That $4.00+ Per Gallon For Premium. And In The End BOWEL MOVEMENT OF AMERICA Comes And REPOSESSES IT! I Don't Envy You Not In The Slightest. (I've Been There And I Know What I'm Talking About!!)

Folks, This Is Why I Don't Miss My '04 TOYOTA CELICA GT-S!! What A Money Pit!! SHEESH! $600.00 Per Month, $350.00 Per Month Insurance Forced Full Coverage, PREMIUM GAS!!!!

And The Job Was LOST, And The Asshole Fired Me! (Trans-California Courier In Woodland Hills-His Name Was ROMEY J. MARTIN!) What A Bummer!!

And In The End---THEY CAME AND GOT IT!! End Of Story! R.I.P. 2004 TOYOTA CELICA GT-S!!

Same Thing Happened To My '89 SUZUKI SWIFT GT. When I Got It Brand New In 1990 Couldn't Afford The PREMIUM GAS, $217.08 And The Insurance. Then I Got FIRED And LOST THE JOB!! And In The End--FORD MOTOR CREDIT Came And REPOSSESED IT!!

Sorry, No New Cars EVER For Me Again. These JOBS Are NOT Eternal And Are NOT GUARANTEED!! When You Lose The Job And Are Stuck With Them PAYMENTS And The Money Runs Out....

There Is A Spanish Term For That: POBRECITO mi AMIGO!! (Means I Feel Sorry For You My Friend!!) LOL

Sorry, But It's GEO METRO 3 CYLINDER For Me 'Till My Dying Days.....
I noticed today, I was getting 19.6 mpg, it had 93 miles on it when we got it, so maybe the people who test drove it, ran the s**t out of it, I will make sure I get payments paid on time. I also took it off road a little today, have to say the AWD did pretty well, took it up a really muddy hill, it was a really close call. I love it more and more each day.

I know 93 miles isn't close to being broken in, I drove it over 100 miles today. It has improved, I tried not stomping the pedal to the floor a lot. The transmission learns your driving habits.

I picked the Venza up with just over a quarter of a tank, just got back from a test drive when I got there, I filled it up today with premium and I spent a little over $65. I liked only putting only $25 in my Metro and being good for almost a month!

Horn, I'm Glad You're Having A Good Time. I Really Know How To Push Your Buttons Don't I? Heh! Heh!

Yeah, Coche, I've Been Poor All Of My Life. Should've Hung On To My Sprint. Oh, Well.

Those Damn Courier Companies! I'll Never Work For Them Again And Get Another Flashy Twin Cam Sports Car And Then Get Fired Right After I Get The Car Again!! Uggh!

No reason to put premium in a Swift Richard, just throwing money away.

I Agree, Woodie. Course You Know This Only Applies To Base Swifts With The G13A 70 Horsepower 1.3. The GT With It's 10.0:1 Compression Is A Whole 'Nudder Story!

And Yes, Putting Premium In Your Car Is An Absolute WASTE OF MONEY!! Another Reason Why I Drive A GEO METRO!! Hell Yeah!! :thumb

It is NOT a whole nudder story. The G13B in the Swift GTi used regular gas. Its 10/1 compression ratio is not so exotic, the three cylinder has 9.5/1 The only "G" engine which would benefit from "premium" gas at factory settings was the Cultus GTi at 113 hp, a very rare car which was never sold in the States.

Explain what? No Metro or Swift EVER required "premium" gas. The Cultus GTi and T3 Turbo had knock sensors, so maybe they could benefit from it, but on any other Suzuki "G" engined car, it's throwing away money.

Maybe you're not familiar with the fact that "premium" gas is inferior in every way except for avoiding ping and knock.

Schrodenger's Cat? Funny, Bogs!

Woodie, Yeah, I See What You're Saying. But Forgive Me Cause I Still Don't Get It. I Have Always Understood That The GT Version Was A HIGH PERFORMANCE Version And Demanded Such Fuel As With My '04 Toyota Celica GT-S And '68 Corvette L36 427/390. The Dealer Told Me When I Got My '89 GT That Anything Like This, Don't Put Regular In It Or You Run The Risk Of Engine Damage. The Toyota Dealer Told Me The Same Thing. If It's 10.0:1 Or Higher Put That PREMIUM In It.

Now, Woodie, Mind You, I Think Premium Is A WASTE OF MONEY!! I Will Concur On That. And I'll Agree With You On That. But I'll Never Buy A Car Requiring Premium Gas Again. But The Thing Of It Is, The SWIFT GT Was PURPOSE BUILT!! (As Is The GEO METRO) For The G13B I Felt That The Premium Gas Was Better For It And At The Time I Wasn't Gonna Risk Ruining Such An Expensive High Performance Engine. And I Don't Think The Swift GT Came With A Knock Sensor Did It??

But That's In The Past Now. They REPOed Those Cars. I'm A GEO METRO Man-Don't Need To Pay For That High Priced Stuff Anymore. Who Needs It?

Just Out Of Curiosity, Potter, What Do You Feed Your GTi? Just Wondering. And How Does It Run With It?

How Come No One Told Me About That Suzuki Cultus 113 Hp Model?? Hmm..

Because it was so limited in production and so far away from where we live that it's almost not worth mentioning. I think it was just Japan and Oceania. Just a factory racer version of the GTi G13B. Had a better intake manifold and a factory header with higher compression pistons and a knock sensor so the computer could advance timing more.

Never listen to anything a salesman tells you, read the book and find out what the manufacturer thinks. GTi was designed to run on regular gas.
