Sucks, but I listen to audio books to pass the time. I fill up every 5 days. I could have possibly found a job closer, but not using my degree or making nearly as much as I do now. Thankfully I really like my job. Makes a huge difference.

I'm in the Richmond, VA area and was looking for jobs all over the country when the company I worked for folded 3 years ago. Currently have a 45 minute commute when all goes well. I work with some "super commuters" who pretty well fit the description laid out in the article.

That's around 41 miles each way so 82 miles total plus round the town excursions! Too much for me

Know of a few that live 2 hours away!

Heck when I first moved down here, I had 91-mile drive, twice a day 5-days a week. At least back then it was in a VW GTI with sub-$2 gasoline
