I have a 96 geo metro 4 door 4 cylinder auto. when i bought the car the thottle cable was working but barely, then about 2 weeks ago the car acted like it lost a ground and shorted the throttle cable to ground causing it to glow red. well that throttle cable broke and i have a new one and when i was putting it on the previous owners had screwed the accelerator cable to the butterfly on the throttle body. My new cable , like the old one, has two ends and the end for the throttle body is in its place but where does the other cable go? Has anyone experienced their accelerator cable shorting out on them before, if so WHY? |

the single end attaches to the pedal assembly. on the other 2 ends, one goes to the throttle actuator and the other one goes to the transmission's kick down lever at the front left side. |

ok , i have the type 2 cable with the two ends. one end goes to the butterfly on the throttle body. Thats the end that looks like a bullet. The other end is a split type end (for the lack of better terms) and i have no idea where that piece goes. if anyone has any pics please post. |
