Not good at intro's but here it goes...
I am new here but not new to Metro's, had one 12 years ago (turquoise 1996 5spd. 2dr hatch w/ 63k) that I miss. I bought it to save money and to keep mileage off my "newer" car at the time (1998 Mustang) since I had a job where I commuted from home to home out in the county. Had to sell it unwillingly.
Anyways, I seem to collect cars and have caught myself thinking about my old Geo and how I wish I still had it.
Not sure if I am in the market, though I have been catching my self looking them up here and there, thus finding this site.
I have had a job for awhile now that is basically the same thing that I use to do back then and my PT Looser just isn't cutting it mpg wise and that is my best mpg car I have currently.
So that's my story and here I am.

Welcome to your new forum, MudPuppy! :coffee

Take a look at Who Lives Where? for a list of Arkansans. :banana

Hope you find a new toy. Nice thing is, in your hood it's unlikely to have frame rust. :D

:rocker 33 Arkansan's representin' here... by far the most of any of the auto forums I am a member of.

Need a new toy= probably not. But want a new toy= who are we kidding!
I am enjoying the posts of the chalkboard paint people are doing on here and none of my current vehicles I could do that to...

That would be 34 if I can add you?

Need to update that thread this weekend. :smackface

Well you could do it to your vehicles....

Clarity; "new toy" as in "new to you working Geo." :thumb

Sure, you can add me to that list.

I think I would cry if I painted any of my current cars with chalkboard paint. A couple are a shunned breed of their own, plus low production numbers and hard to find parts. I would not be a happy camper when people get within my car's "bubble".
And the other ones I have there are reasons why I couldn't paint them as well.
So maybe a new (to me) car is in order ;)

Thank you bogs and MR Bill and everyone for the warm welcomes.

I have been skimming through the forum and maybe I have missed it completely...
but what are Metro's going for nowadays?
I am interested in (if I do decide I am in the market) preferably a vert or a 2 door hatch, must be stick.
I know the verts were only made 3 years, thus their prices are the highest I would assume.

I really should sell a few of my cars before getting another, my yard already looks like a car lot :lol

Thats a wide open question. lots more info needed before answers could
be narrowed down.--condition of body? interior? mechanical? rust?
part of country? willing to travel & tow back? price of gas?.........just to
name a few questions.

for instance: couple of days ago there was a 'Vert in Louisiana for less
than a grand with a blown engine.-------

your preferance, your wants your desires cannot be answered by others.
