Looking for Rain Guards... Ventvisors... Window Shields... etc, etc. It seems everyone has a different name for the bloody things! Anyways, those things, go along the top of the window, lets you have your windows cracked and not get rained on. There was a set on The Other Metro, which I took off, 'cause they were broken. Now I'm getting splattered and it SUCKS! So. Ebay seems to be under the impression that I need "Ventshade 92183". Has anybody gotten these? Do they fit? |

According to Ventshade that only fits 89-94. No listing for the 95+ |

These are from a 2004 Kia Rio.![]() The red you see is red silicon sealer. I did not have any clear silicon. I had run out of the double sided sticky tape. ![]() As you can see they will fit. |

Hm, yeah. They're not "exact", but they'd keep the rain out. |

I have been reading on here for a while, but had to join after needing to say something here... 95 2dr. After a Longgggg search for rain guards / visors / deflectors / shades..... Got a cardboard box, had wife hold it while I cut it to match the curve and length of the driver window.... Then went to the junk yard... Much time later found 2 exact matches: 2001 Volvo XC90 & 2005 4dr hb Chevy Aveo... Found a 4pack on ebay for the aveo for $25 shipped.... Will come back and post picks once they are on ![]() JONNY MULLET!!! Haven't seen you since the 1st Geopallozza!!! Looking forward to making it this year now that we're back in the metro ![]() |

Here ya go! Edit: Thought there was more info than that. Ones for a Cavalier seem to be the best fit from what I have heard. Just need a little trimming.

Right - exact fit for the older (89-94) cars. Doesn't apply for 95 and up.

Here's what I found: AVS 99240 fits 95-2000 Metro & 95-96 Swift AVS 94920 is for 4 door 95-97 Metros (I think it's for all 4 windows) 89-94 Metros & Swifts have 4 choices: AVS Ventvisors 92183 Lifetime warranty GT Styling Ventgards 40154 & 80154 (not sure what the difference is but 1 might snap in & the other stick on) Wade Wind Guard Window Deflectors 72-85460 for 2 door. Lifetime warranty. Wade 72-85464 for 4 door (front doors only) I have a 94 & I decided to get the Wade ones since they're the widest. I also ordered some precut window tint so sometime next week my car should be a little cooler since my A/C doesn't work. Before I install the window guards I'll hold them next to a 97 to see if they might work for the newer cars. I'm hoping they'll be mailed tomorrow. |
