Most people who will pay good money to build a computer, will do it themselves. Most people who will not pay good money for a computer, will go to Best Buy and buy the cheapest computer they can. Most people with more money than sense will go to the Apple Store.

there's a VERY small (proportionally) group of people who will pay someone else to build them a computer.

Been there, tried that. It is possible but you won't make good money. With that said...I'd like you to prove me wrong. :thumb

Yes it is actually.

Solid State drives.... mmmhmmm. cool shit that's for sure. also wtf does fwiw mean? hahaha

yea you don't make good money building computers, as Coche Blanco said it. most people go and buy one. and those who want one build it them selves. i got a 12pack of beer out of it hahaha.

Duct tape heals all wounds

CB did not make up fwiw, it is pretty old ;) For a pretty good listing, you can go here -> http://www.netlingo.com/acronyms.php <-

The rest of what he said is pretty accurate, assembling parts into a system is pretty easy, most people think it is too "black box" and so too hard for them to do. Instead of trying, they will order it premade for the cheapest they think it will work.

Others think a company like Dell or Apple has "spent millions" on engineering, and will order from them, when in fact they could get the same or similar parts themselves for much less.

If you can plug in a lamp, you most likely can assemble a pc from parts, the main difference is having to be wary of static electricity and learning to properly trouble shoot operating system issues.

Yeah I forgot about those static bracelets or whatever they're called.

Those will work, although you don't actually need them. You just need to make sure your grounded or have discharged any static before touching anything on the boards.

Someday I'll have to post pics of the one I still have, it was from the "portable field computer". These hardrives were quite durable, at some point I'm going to make a clock out of it.

Clock sounds more useful hahaha. old comps are just awesome in their own way. Just to be able to look back, and be amazed on how far we have come.
