What do you all think of these? has anyone ever bought one? Thanks in advance, sent an email inquiring about shipping costs.

How much is shipping though? and how low are the miles?

Really for that price I would recommend an engine rebuild. It would be cheaper and you would essentially have 0 miles on it. Also if there is a problem with it who would cover shipping?

I've heard of some people buying engines like that, but I'm just skeptical. Even with a warranty, if one engine has low pressure, you call and argue. All they have to say is you did something wrong. then it is a pain in the ass to get your money back, if you even do

Saw them thought if the shipping cost was reasonable enough I would pick one up as a inexpensive drop in while rebuilding the current motor so I am not stuck driving the 17mpg truck for a month while doing it due to my work schedule.

I've not purchased from that particular supplier before but have used JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) engines with good success. The usual JDM engine is advertised as having 40-60k miles on it, not sure if you will get any sort of documentation but perrsonally I feel better getting a compression test.
They claim each engine has been compression tested and had an oil analysis done. If that's true that would put them way ahead of the typical JDM importer.
Checked the website and their local phone number has a 781 area code - Boston. Not going to be cheap to ship but there may be some options.
If time is your enemy give them a call. Keep in mind that you will need to swap over your distributor, intake manifold, throttle body and possibly exhaust manifold. The setup for Japan is definitely different and won't match what you have now.
