Has anybody ever heard of the Dynasty iT, made in Canada? I saw one last week in Lancaster, OH and the owner was willing to sell it for around $5000. And he was about to replace the batteries in it.

He said it has about a 50 mile range and tops out at around 45mph, and it's all wheel drive. It also has a canvas top that snaps on. This particular model was meant to be an open air convertible-ish design. Not bad for cruising around town.

Thoughts?

LSV's can operate on roads with posted speed limits of up to 35mph (60kph), at a speed not to exceed 25mph (40kph).

From the Dynasty website. Not even being able to run on 40mph roads is going to severely limit where you can go. http://www.itiselectric.com/

Under ideal driving conditions you can expect up to a 30 mile (50 KM) driving range from a fully charged, optimally conditioned battery pack.

Again from their website. Emphasis is mine.

Sounds like the owner was rather optimistic in both categories. :deal

Looks cool though for a summer downtown city hopper for the core area apt/condo dwellers. Tiny

Reminds me of the Mini Moke which is also now available again also as an electric. http://asiandragoninternational.yolasite.com/mokes.php

I went to their website, and it looked like the most recent model was 2008. So if they're not actively making them, then repairs and parts will probably be next to impossible to make and find. And the reason he would want to dump it for so cheap is probably because he picked it up for next to nothing. Either way, it looks like a cool toy, and I've been looking to get into the EV market.....just not with a $40k-$60k investment!!
