Hello Wisconsin neighbor! You are in Adams? I am located in Beaver Dam, but during the summer months, go through Adams almost every weekend. We have a seasonal at Pineland. |

Thanks for all the warm welcomes! Ive been waiting for better weather and the melting of snow to dig into what I bought as a possible parts car but it looks like my daughter hyjacked it as a project toy for herself (15yrs). she thought it was cute and I liked it because it is sort of familiar to me knowing of the rocker and quarter panel rust, I wasn't phased as much when I couldn't poke any weakness in either of the frame horns I was told it ran and drove but would shake and smoke from the exhaust. I did pick it up and drive it home in the dark, about a 45 min trip and it definitely ran like but I was glad I didn't have to drag out the hauler. Pulled the plugs and found a cyl plug was covered in oil and had visible oil on the piston top. Time to get it over to the shop and check it out further. It was getting late but did a compression test 180-180-30. 180's were done dry the 30 was wet already. loldecided to start tearing her down maybe later today. I haven't had a chance to really look her over, pull the seats, carpet.. etc. going to tackle the engine first so I can at least drive it back and forth to the shop.. my jeep Cherokee is a little more thirsty. My daughter has already named her the Vertro. and you know you can't put down a new family member once it's been named. Since I haven't planned on spending a bunch of cash on what was supposed to be parts for my car, this project might take some time, but should be a fun time to share with her to learn more than just where the gas goes.. I have 3 other daughters and they have all spent time helping rebuild their first rides. when I was young we always said built, not bought.. and I try my best to pass that along to them.Being in a state where rust plagues so many rides is different I spent too many years, spoiled by rust free projects growing up in Florida I know Pineland pretty well. I work springs in the fire tower 3.8miles north of there at the Dyracuse Park. My office ![]() ![]() Have to look close but I can see my 98 down below ![]() It's between the building and the red dump truck |

Well the heat/smoke can keep you entertained at that view.. but Id rather enjoy watching a cycle hit a tree down on the tracks
