Welcome to your new forum, calrenman! :coffee

I think Old Man is actually correct on his understanding of LA. I was born in LA and it is just easier to say so rather than explain where San Gabriel is although I'm sure there is an app for Google Maps. Even SoCal is OK provided one does not want to get to specific. The thought of driving 40 miles through 4 towns is not unheard of and is just accepted.

I don't know many people who are actually from LA so this is cool calrenman!.

I was not understanding your question as to what part of L.A. I live in the San Fernando Valley. I was not trying to offend you. Just a SNAFU. I would love any help. Thanks.
