I found a Geo metro converted to a pickup truck. Guy wants 1500.00. Rebuilt motor, extra motor, extra 5 speed. He says its a 3 cyl with AC but it is disconnected. I joined to get info from all the experts on here. Do u think it is a deal. Wish it were stock but looks kinda cool in a face only ur mother could love sort of way. Just passed NC state inspection. Any replies will be much appriciated

Definately look at some of the post here about frame horns first.bad frame horns ruin geos.that and I've always like the truck look,it's a goal I wanna get done with mine but I'd be checking the welds and quality of work. Lots of thing can be half done.have any pictures?

First off, welcome here :) Next, regardless whether stock or not, it is always a good idea to read the buyers guide which can be found here -> http://geometroforum.com/topic/1666576/1/

As suntzzu mentions, the frame horns are of major importance to look at, but equally important and often overlooked are the rear sections including the box joints and wheel wells.

If your not a body man yourself, take one along with you who can take a look over the work done to give you an opinion as to how well it was done even if you have to pay him for his time, don't rely on the seller's opinions or guarantee that it is ok.

As was mentioned, pictures are always appreciated here :popcorn
