yes having something to "eat" and "nibble" is VERY effective at keeping one awake. I tried that with almonds once. almost sent me to the hospital. I felt very "odd" when I reached my destination. I thought it was just the heat but after 30 minutes it felt way worse and stranger than "heat" I almost got the point where I was tempted to risk going to the hospital thinking their was seriously something wrong with me. I was well hydrated so I sat in the shade and thankfully the temps dropped a tiny bit after about 90 minutes I started to feel better and was less concerned. I alter found out almonds are actually slightly toxic I was literally "OD'ing" on almonds. SO won't make that mistake again. |
