You can mod your engine you already have and get it up to 60 -65 hp (by far the easiest)
G10T turbo is 73 hp (but the parts need to come from Canada, they didn't sell it here)
G13BA and BB came in 95-01 Metros and are 70 and 79 hp.
G13B came in the GTi and is 100 hp.

These three swaps can all be modified for 5 - 10 extra without much trouble. All are going to require pretty extensive rewiring to get the engine controls and emissions to work properly.

Anything other than that would be from another manufacturer and will be a massive undertaking, but can be done.

How about the Corrolla motor, or the Supra. Wouldn't they drop in as well?

I think so, I can't keep up with all of the Honda motors anymore.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. That Saturn motor is a common swap, so why not go all out? The thing should have power to weight ratio close to the old Cobra's with those HP 289 Ford's.

I remember seeing one on Ebay that a guy in the service did down in Florida. He said it was a seriously difficult car to drive.

Seriously difficult to keep your foot out of it and not get tickets or wind up in a ditch. :rofl

I have no idea which engines would fit in the engine bay. I just know what my search engine finds... :D

They are 4 cyl. And yes they will bolt up to the transmission.
