Well, i bought some nice subs from a fellow member, and he has sent them via usps, well when i got them the box was torn open, the zip ties that were protecting the subs were cut very cleanly, and the subs are ruined since they were tossed around....

That SUCKS.

I had an alternator shipped to me once, there were boot marks on the box and the casing was cracked (worthless).

Only if insurance was purchased. I prefer UPS. Comes with $100 insurance included.

Zip ties? wtf how were they shipped? Facing each other zip tied together in a box with no padding?

I would be "hating" the fellow member, not USPS. Had they been properly packaged & box stamped with "FRAGILE", they would have made it safe and sound. How did the fellow member expect these to arrive unharmed?

Thanks for dissin' my employer, Scoobs. Hope my kid won't mind when your complaing shuts down my way of life.

What are you moaning about? You got the package. Its the senders responsibility to wrap the contents up nice and secure. You should complain to him for a refund. It's his fault, not the USPS.

Pssh dayle Lol, wasnt dissing your employer..... Well i guess i was, i should be blaming the workers that handled my package, since one of them clearly opened my box and CUT the ties that were keeping them safe. They were clearly cut with scizzors.

if it had been packaged properly i'm sure it would have made it unharmed. you must realize they are not going to put every single box on a pillow and ferry it to you house on a hovercraft. they are going to get jostled around. it there had at least been newspaper padding in there it would have been just fine. also what makes you think they were ziptied in the first place? did the member tell you that. maybe they cut them.

Maybe if you give your mail carrier some Christmas time goodies, he/she would handle you stuff a little better. That green stuff works wonders for an entire year. Miss one "payment " and looks what happens. Hehe.

I'm guessing the zip ties were still in the box.

Terrible packaging. Something that size should have had a reinforced box. I'll cut up one USPS flat rate box and make it fit inside the one I'm going to use, for instance. Nothing can move inside the box when I'm finished. There's a layer of plastic wrap around what I'm shipping. Paper seperates the pieces in the box. Paper seperates the pieces from the outside of the box. Styrofoam peanuts are fairly worthless, unless compressed tightly. I use clear package tape, not duct tape, or any other kind of tape.

There are 4 questions than the Post Office counter person will ask you. Anything Fragile, Liquid, Perishible, or for Scoobs?
