So one of my customers whos metro died 4 months back has been sitting at my garage for a while now, since they couldnt come up with the money for repairs, i already put in a new wiper switch into the car and they paid me all of 11 bucks so far on that. Anyway last month the repo company went to their house and looked of rth car and gave them till tommorow to make a payment on their lease for the car. Well, the car is still at my shop, locked up engine and bad transmission, I just called the car lot she bought it at to find out what they wanted to do, i said well, its not worth much maybe for parts but thats about it, he said well what would you pay for it, i said maybe salvage value. Then hes like well, we'll just pick the car up and take it to the auctions the next town over.... Seriously? what the hell do they expect to get out of a geo that looks like crap, cant even open the doors from the outside, and needs a new engine and transmission... Maybe 50 bucks. i told him i said, well right now i just bought annother metro on my way back from town so i dont have the cash in hand like i did the other day for it, and said i can do small payments of about 20-30 bucks a week, and hes like, No thats not good enough, we're coming to get the car..? Realy Ok A hole if thats how you wanna be fine, go take maybe 50 bucks at the auction and waste your gas coming out to my shop about 30 miles out of town just to bring it back, youll burn more in gas and effort than your going to get at the auction.

No, its a 1.0 Automatic, i just wanted it for parts and a frame cut off, since it is rust free.
bad tcm caused them to completely ruin third gear since they took off in D instead of manually shifting it, so it has first and second, but slips reeeeal bad when you go to D, and the engine was starved of oil, so it seized.

put a $100 'mechanics lien' on it and tell the car lot to bring cash when they come to get it.

i dont have a buisness license to put a mechanics lein on it, either way they are coming to get it tommorow, I dont care lol, let them come get it, itll free me up one more parking space for annother geo later on down the road, and ill just remove my wiper switch and put the old one back on it.

If i can come up with around 200 bucks, i can own this car tommorow :/ if not then it goes to the scrapper...... damn i hate to see a metro go to the scrap yard to be crushed, but it is what it is, i cant come up with the money, so off it goes in the morning :/

Even without license you can charge $10 a day storage from minute one of the first day. I process abandon titles weekly.

also man they dont know how the car looks or whats in it. All they know is it doesnt run. If you were to take some parts off of it, or swap shit tires for good tires (if it has em) they would never know.

Just saying...

I'd be having them pick up an empty frame with everything of value removed. You told them it doesn't run, maybe it doesn't run because the engine is missing.
