Like in Post #2 ---- the price is a personal desire thingy. I would offer him your two grand and ask him to provied the materials to put a new top on ---- I would also make sure there is no rust, and the mechanicals are in good shape. In my opinion that would be a premium price but if the above is true you would have a premium Metro-----all according to your desires and local inspection |

Give him a low ball offer. Say," Tell ya what, I'll give you 1300 cash today". It's worth a try. Thats even higher than what I would pay but I'm a cheap old fart. |

It is hard to convince someone that any car is "safe." No, it is not safe in a roll over. She may be thinking of that because SUVs roll over, but then an SUV is prone to roll over and a Geo is NOT. She is conservative and likely to think SUVs and big cars are safer. I never went though life looking for "safe." You miss out on a lot of fun. It wasn't my time to die doing 127 mph on that Kawasaki 650. See if you can put a deposit on the car. That and wait a day for member's suggestions. GeoStalker's daughter drives one... ![]() Like that is going to help.

Call her bluff, and if she's not bluffing, you get to be single. It's a win win. |

The marriage Divorce rate it around 50%. The relationship "divorce" rate is more than that. Girl friends come and go. GeoMetro Convertables dont.----Write this down somewhere and look at it in 5 years. I predict that no matter what the girl will be gone and the Metro will still be there. |

True, True. Girlfriend just before my Wife hated my '74 Dirty White Van. Just an automatic but she hated it. We broke up. I still have the van - 17 years later. My wife liked my Geo so much that a year later she spied her '96 parked in a snow bank for sale. |

alrighty i'llgive it a shot, yeah that was the main issue it " rolling over " i said that it;s mainly suvs that do we shall see what happens wish me luck tomorrow shall be the day i make my decision :3 on a scale of 1-10 how difficult is it to change your convertible top? i've seen the threads on how to do it, looks pretty straight forward but then again everything does when shown to you ![]() , Aaron Edit: aslo is anyone else having problems with the site loading properly? This site can be garbage sometimes. We've can't really narrow it down...so until we do we just deal with it. Rolling over is the least of your worries in a Metro. SUVs, trucks, and fullsize cars are what should scare her. |
